The idea of deliverance and grant of pardon by the Almighty mesmerizes us all. Everyone from our family is looking for deliverance. This idea becomes a bit bizarre when it comes to the Pink Population. Because the shroud of the ages old wrath and hatred against the Pinks has been on the hearts of people so they are not ready to accept or even grant the degree of recognition to Pink lot. From centuries, Abrahamic religions have thought HS as demoniacal and an act of Satan. They failed to see behind the lines of the Holy Books and closed their eyes to the reality.
The case of Islam is no different. We have our own set of Mullahs and Taliban who are ready to shed blood of anyone who looks even a bit deviated from their decided straight path. (Jamaat-e-Islami and Hizb-e-Tehrir inclusive)… With certain Hadiths, they came up with the oft-ill-quoted parable of Lot and they have nothing else. Their point of view is so narrow that they are not ready to explore about the other circumstances that lead to the utter destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah.
In my views, the crimes and sins like lies, bribery, back biting, spilling of innocent blood, looting properties, desecrating other people’s sentiments is much more graver than sleeping with a man. God can’t be that narrow in his approach that he could overlook these grave sins and throw all gays into the hell. This cannot happen. At least, I don’t presume God to be such fool to deliver all the men doing these grave sins and throw into the hell those who are doing nothing but fulfilling their natural human requirement. All the explanations which were coined by religious clergy to tarnish the sexual desire has been proven void and null by the Science.
What do we need is a more liberal and open-minded approach to get rid of extremist ideas and Taliban. The first step would be annihilation of Jamaat-e-Islami and all the patrons of Taliban to eradicate their ground level support.
